Roses are Red

I’ve never received a flower
Or even a rose
But I’m a guy
So it’s acceptable I suppose
No kisses
Or sweets
in betrayal
Fertilized with lies
And maintained by fakes
Roses are Red
But my roses are dead
And crumble beneath my feet

  1. Goodness!!!! BEAUTIFUL.

only your roses din’t die no

They got crushed the moment you let her

Take away your worth and self respect

Make you think she was all

    You needed to feel

    Complete and excellent

When you lost you in her and

    She took you with her

No,your rose is crushed but dead is not

For if you give it a little juice

No it don’t need no water

    Only your life in it

And you will have a full rose

That is nothing but your beautiful

    Amazing heart that

    She never went with.

  2. Someone will give you a rose one day. One that never dies. All you have to do is wait.

If this prediction doesn’t work out, I’m sorry. You’ll have to buy yourself a rose. And I guess that’s a better idea.

  4. A beautiful poem, so poignant. Roses are also for men, yes. Why not? Why is it always men giving women flowers and not the other way round as well? We need to change this stupid thing. I am from Catalonia where we celebrate Sant Jordi (Saint George’s Day) on April 23. People give books and roses to the beloved, not just to your lover or partner, but also to family relatives and friends. Isn’t that beautiful? I always buy a rose and a book for my husband on that day. Anyway, Thank you so much for the follow. I really appreciate this. However, there is a much better writer than me, whom I strongly recommend you and all your followers. It is my friend Mario Savioni. His novel “Pickles and Tarts” (very short chapters, easy to read), is a story where 54-year-old Frank has been selected by 19-year-old Nicole through a dating site. Frank looks at Nicole’s photos on the site and is attracted to her beauty. Nicole tells him she has a boyfriend and is not interested in a romantic relationship. She adds: “It’s fun to talk to different people sometimes.” The only apparent thing Frank and Nicole seem to have in common is their interest to write stories. Perhaps they want to meet just to write one together? Now Frank has already started to imagine this story, a story-within-the-main-story. “Pickles and Tarts” is a lovely story of illusion-delusion, dream-reality, non-conformist with the Capitalist system, reflective on love, sex, drugs, abuse, loneliness and human relationships in today’s world. It is profound and highly intriguing. I recommend chapters 11 and 12 that especially deal with sexual abuse, bullying and loneliness:
